The miqat of Umrah for those who have settled in Makkah is the solution, because when Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) insisted that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform Umrah individually after she had performed Hajj with him in conjunction, he ordered her brother Abd al-Rahman to go with her to At-Tan’im so that she could enter ihram for Umrah from there, which is the closest place to the solution to Makkah. If entering ihram for Umrah from Makkah or from any place in the Haram was permissible, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would not have made it difficult for himself, Aisha, and her brother by ordering her brother to go with her to At-Tan’im so that she could enter ihram for Umrah from there, and that was at night while they were traveling and that would require him to wait for them. He would have permitted her to enter ihram from her home with him in the valley of Makkah, in accordance with the tolerance and ease of the Shari’ah, and because he was never given a choice between two matters except that he chose the easier of the two, as long as it was not a sin.
